White Supremacist and Terrorist Payton Gendron leaves 10 dead and 3 injured in Buffalo mass shooting

On May 14th, 2022; Roberta A. Drury, Margus D. Morrison, Andre Mackneil, Aaron Salter, Geraldine Talley, Celestine Chaney, Heyward Patterson, Katherine Massey, Pearl Young and Ruth Whitfield went to Tops Friendly Markets to grocery shop as many people do on weekends. That grocery run would be the last one they partake in. White supremacist and terrorist Payton S. Gendron decided that May 14th 2022 would be the last time those souls would be in those bodies by assassinating them in broad daylight. Why you may ask? No other reason than being a white supremacist and terrorist.

The Oxford dictionary defines a white supremacist as a person who believes that white people constitute a superior race and should therefore dominate society to the exclusion or detriment of other racial and ethnic groups. The actions displayed by Gendron is just that, a white supremacy ideology. Ideas are something we choose to believe. This is an ideology he chose and is choosing to live by. The punishment for this crime should be an example to everyone that this type of behavior is not acceptable nor will it be celebrated. The consequences of actions need to be equal and equitable to his actions.

There’s a series on this site titled “Colonialism: the biggest act of terrorism.” This is a great example of that. Many people would look at this and say what colonialism has to do with the events that took place Saturday May 14th, 2022? When atrocities’ in past history are not acknowledged, history will continuously repeat itself. The mindset that one race is superior than another has not been combated. It is the biggest disease to humankind.

Praying for healing of the minds and hearts of the victims’ families and friends. To the three individuals who were wounded during this terrorist attack (Zaire Goodman, Jennifer Warrington and Christopher Braden) I am praying for your mental health and a speedy recovery. I am happy that you are living to see another day. There is nothing more important on this earth than the preservation of life.
